I have just seen the new Gus van Sant's indie movie Paranoid Park about a skater and a murder.
although there's no huge tricks, but a great story. one, which along with Kids and Ken Park, you probably shouldn't miss.

admittedly, it's old news, but the video is great and also it's never too bad to be reminded there exists places where the city hall allows a skate competition to be held on it's doorsteps (albeit with some resistance from the police and the weather).

Nike's outdoor and extreme sports division ACG started a new web-based campaign called sweetspots which simply means we get to see some unbelievable snow action in a bunch of videos from around the world together with some blogs by their riders. not bad for inspiration at the start of the winter season.
